My "sis" (she is not blood related, but we are very close) and I had not seen each other in well over 16 years. I was in Iowa (born and raised) and she had moved to Texas and then to South Carolina.
I was finally in a position last September to go and see her. Her wedding was Sept. 19, 2014. My new fiancé and myself drove from Maryland where I now live and got there Sept 17. My birthday was Sept. 18, so we got to celebrate it together.
My sis is so wonderful. She picked me up on my birthday and took me to David's Bridal to try on Wedding dresses for my big day. Such an Unselfish ACT. To take time out of her super busy schedule and take me, so that I did not have to do it alone. Since all of my family is in Iowa, I was going to end up wedding dress shopping alone. She also took me to lunch as well.
I FOUND MY dress at an amazing deal, it was one she picked out that I would never have thought to try on. I didn't think it would look right on me and she said give it a try. So, I did and fell immediately in LOVE!! I had tried on 3 others and only one was a possibility until the dress she chose came. Love at first site!!!!
Sept 19 we went to her wedding. It was absolutely beautiful.
Then on Sept 20 her, her new hubby, my fiancé and myself headed out to Myrtle Beach where we spent an AMAZING week just the 4 of us. On the beach, in the ocean, walking together, shopping together and reconnecting. It was the best time EVER!
The worst part was saying not goodbye, but see you soon. She left, and I stood at our condo window and cried my eyes out. She looked back and saw me and did the same. It was heart breaking to have to say see you later. But, I know we will see each other again.
May 20, 2016 I am to marry the love of my life. Her, her hubby, their daughter, and new baby due this August will all attend. She is my matron of honor and her husband is a groomsmen.
We will then be spending a week together after our ceremony. Pass A Grille Beach, FL here we come!!! I can not wait for this time with them again. I am so very blessed this is going to happen!! We will have an amazing time together. I can not wait to see them again!!
